First Work Cycle
Children have the freedom to explore the classroom, choose activities and reconnect with friends. A teacher may also read a storybook in order to settle the children into their morning routine. |
9:00-9:15

Morning Meeting (1st Circle)
Daily singing and sharing of the children’s “news” - ideas, experiences and treasures. Daily lessons, introduction of new themes of study and presentations are made (2 or 3 new “works” are introduced daily). |

Work Time
Children have the freedom to explore the classroom and choose activities of personal interest from more than a dozen LEARNING CENTERS:
- Language
- Math
- Geography, Maps
- Cultural Studies
- Science Exploration
- Art Studio, Art Appreciation
- Sensorial – colors, shapes & sizes
- Practical Life
- History Table
- Library
- Music / rhythm area
- Blocks / Manipulatives / Puzzles
- Sand Table
- Peace Corner (quiet reflection)
Creative Playroom Rotation
All children are scheduled to visit the Creative Playroom on the lower level to socialize with friends from other classrooms. Dramatic play inspired Theme Corner rotations: housekeeping, pet vet., post office, camping, restaurant, space center, etc. |

A Nutritious Snack
Parents sign up to participate in snack preparation and bring in snack (once every month or two). We are a “nut-safe” school. |
10:55-11:15 |
2nd Circle
Creative movement, musical instruments, peace lessons, literacy, sign language, puppet shows, etc. Weekly FRENCH LESSONS (or bi-monthly for PSTTH). |
11:15–11:45 |
Outdoor Free Play
Our well-equipped fenced area includes: swings, climbing gym with 4 slides, large play fort, teeter-totter and children’s garden. Our Nature Courtyard has a charming cabin enjoyed in the Fall and Spring, and is on a sliding hill for winter fun. |
11:45-12:30 |
Lunch Time
“Mother Knows Best.” Children bring their own lunch boxes. An opportunity is provided for teeth brushing. |
12:30-1:30 |
Rest Time for Preschool age
Relax and recharge. Books, tapes, drawing, and stories are enjoyed by those who do not sleep. (Jr./Sr. K. enjoys a group story time from 12:30 – 1:00 prior to enrichment time.) |
1:30-2:30 |
Enrichment Afternoon
Smaller groups gather for an enriched cultural and science activity time, creative seasonal projects or classic children’s games. |
