Program Options:

All programs offer a curriculum based on the Montessori philosophy and low student/teacher ratios.

Preschool:

This program is ideal for families who desire a part-time 2 or 3 day program for a three or four year old. Although primarily designed as an introduction to socialization and to the Montessori Curriculum, a full range of academic materials are available to challenge those children who are developmentally ready. In addition, we include full music, peace and French curricula and rotation to our Creative Playroom.

Choices - Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday

Pre-Primary:

The classic 5 day programming for three to five year olds supports the full Montessori Curriculum and includes a strong Literacy program, extensive Cultural themes, Science and Seasonal explorations, as well as Peace circles, Music units and French lessons.

Jr. / Sr. Kindergarten:

A 5 day Montessori grouping of four and five year olds featuring a more advanced curriculum especially in the areas of literacy, writing and math. Our Jr./Sr. Kindergarten is a State of Maine approved kindergarten program, meeting all Department of Education regulations including a Maine State K-8 Certified Teacher. Age eligible children are prepared and may progress directly to 1st grade from this kindergarten program.

Enrichment Afternoon Programs:

All three of our classrooms offer an extended day option we call "Enrichment Afternoons." The Afternoon activity time is spent discovering many multi-cultural, science, and art themes.
A.M. children may stay for Enrichment Afternoons if space is available and ratio permits.

Early / Late Care:

A low key, creative activity time for all children needing to extend their regularly scheduled program time.

Vacation Care:

Thematic camp fun for Pine Grove students during vacation weeks in December, February and April. 2, 3, 4 and 5 day options. 8:30 – 5:00.
