1. What is an "Enrollment Interest" Form?
Please communicate your potential interest to us by filling out the "Enrollment
Interest" form and return it to the Pine Grove office by mail to 32 Foreside
Road, Falmouth, ME 04105. We create our Enrollment Interest List from these
forms. Your position on this list is determined by the DATE your form is received. Top
2. Is there a fee to be placed on the Interest List?
No. If an opening occurs, a registration fee and tuition deposit will then be
due to secure the slot. Top
3. When will I know if there is a space available?
For those parents who have researched/visited several preschool programs and
know they want to sign their child up at Pine Grove, we offer "Early Bird"
Registration. "Early Bird" Registration takes place on the first Saturday
in February (our In-house, Siblings, and Alumni Registration were held the weekend
prior.) Parents present may sign-up for open slots at "Early Bird"
Registration in the order that Pine Grove received their Enrollment Interest
Form. Top
4. If I do not register at Early Bird Registration, does this mean there
will not be a space for my child?
Although we cannot anticipate how many may show up at Early Bird Registration
this year (1st Saturday in February), we can let you know that for the past
few years we have filled every slot in every program on Early Bird day. During
the spring and summer, however, we do usually have some drops (due to potty
training or families that move) that we will fill from our Interest List. Top
5. When may I visit / tour the school?
Parents visit first without their children so that we may best serve you and
your questions. Please call Diane at 781-3441 to schedule a 9:15 or 10:15 appointment
to tour the school and see a Montessori program in action. Top
6. When will my child visit?
We do plan two student visits prior to school starting in September. The first
student visit is in the spring and the second is Orientation Day, which is held
the day before school begins in September. Top
7. If my ideal program is filled, can I be put on a waiting list?
Yes. As we get to your name on the interest list we will let you know precisely
what days and hours we still have open. If the program(s) offered do not meet
your needs, you may choose to be put on a waiting list for that specific program. Top
8. What if potty training is not 100% complete by July 1st?
When children are fully trained by July 1st, this allows them time to develop
competency in self-care skills. If prerequisites are not met by July 1st, your
child's name will be placed on the inactive "IN-HOUSE" Waiting List, and when
eligible and an opening occurs, he or she may enroll. In the event that training
and / or an opening does NOT occur during that school year, the child will be
placed on our "ALUMNI" families list. Top
9. Can I enroll my child at any other time during the school year?
Yes. Children can successfully begin during any month as openings occur. January
1st, just after the holidays, is a popular time (if an opening is available)
for those who weren't quite trained or old enough for the fall entrance. Top
