Our Faculty:

Barbara Jones (B.J.) Fifield founded Pine Grove in 1985 out of a desire and commitment to create an early childhood program that honors the child's spirit and focuses on developmentally appropriate practice and curriculum. As Director, B.J. brings over twenty-five years of administrative and teaching experience to the school from a wide range of early childhood programs.

B.J. has a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Montessori certification from the St. Nicholas Center in London, England.

Pine Grove has an exceptionally talented and dedicated faculty. Our teachers are educated (most have a B.A., B.S. or Masters), experienced, and thoughtful professionals who all share a deep commitment to children and a love of the learning process. Their teaching reflects intelligence, creativity, energy, and caring. They share a natural ability to respect and relate to the individual attributes of each child.
